Will Hire at Tough Mudder Midlands 2017

At 05:45 on Sunday 21st May 2017 four members of the team hit the road to take part in a 12 mile, 20 obstacle mud run.

Tough Mudder is no ordinary mud run – “it’s an experience. An escape from the everyday. At Tough Mudder, you won’t just face your fears – you’ll knock them down. You’ll go over, around, and through them. You’ll test your strength, stamina, and grit, and you’ll help the Mudders around you to do the same”

Gathering at 08:45 we were warming up for what is an amazing challenge and the organisers bring everyone together and built up a great atmosphere with your fellow Mudders, it’s not a race and it is impossible to complete the course on you own.

The following hours saw the team and our fellow runners take on the mighty course. The four of us, different shapes, different sizes, and varying levels of unfitness gave 100% taking on the course and having a load of fun while doing it.

Obstacles like, the arctic enema, sewer rat, hold your wood, killa gorilla, blockness monster, kiss of mud, funky monkey, to name but a few, came and went, and after just under four hours we reached the final challenge. The eltroshock obstacle is a dash in mud and over bails through hundreds of electric wires at a strength far higher than you can believe is legal. Deciding to link arms in a final team effort for the finish line we were all bolted to the floor at midway but scrabbled through to make it to the end. An Cider, t-shirt and head band greeted us along with a huge sense of achievement for completing the course as a team.
